TamPulper™ Batch Pulpers

The Batch Furnish TamPulper™ technology is available in horizontal and vertical designs. The horizontal pulper offers a low headroom solution for pulping market bales, broke, or recycled paper.

The pulp is added to the vat, where it is processed to a more uniform consistency because of the TamPulper™ specialized design. The horizontal vat features two dished heads. The spherical shape of the dished heads intensifies the agitation process by forcing the pulp to be continuously blended. This curved design of the vat and the installed directional vanes provides more fluent agitation to achieve the same production rates at lower energy levels. The new shape allows for installation in tighter spaces with low headroom.

In the vertical design vat the optional dished bottom reduces loss of momentum as the flow from the rotor reaches the vertical vat wall. The bottom installed directional vanes capture the flow from the rotor tip guiding it upward to improve turnover of the pulp. These features aid in faster slushing of material.

The TamPulper technology has highly efficient rotors designed for maximum pumping. The rotors new design allows for less power consumption. The TamPulper system is able to be configured as either a single or dual pulper depending on the application and production.

  • Impellers are modeled after centrifugal pumps for high circulation
  • Tanks available with curved bottoms and round ends
  • Rotors have tall vanes at the ID to prevent rotor capping
  • High open area extraction screens produced by water jet cutting
  • Fabricated in 316L construction or equivalent corrosion resistant material

  • Using the TamPulper technology high open area extraction grate in combination with the TamPulper Rotor will maximize the pump out capacity. This addition can be part of a complete pulping unit or supplied as a retrofit.
