

The Air Evacuation System removes the air from the digester during steam packing, resulting in better liquor impregnation of cooking liquor into wood chips. It also enables smoother and faster chip flow into digester resulting in shorter chip filling time.
An air evacuation system is used in conjunction with the steam packer. As the chips enter the digester, the air evacuation system removes the air and gases from the digester through center screens or through a separate nozzle.
