The GL&V BTF ™ Pneumatic (Air Pad Rectifier Roll) Headbox is ideal for very low speed Fourdrinier applications on all grades of pulp and paper. It is also instrumental in enhancing products, like fluff pulp, where bulk, caliper, density and tensile ratio qualities are essential for excellent fiberization.

The dimensional stability and overall product quality for slow speed applications such as fluff pulp, market pulp, and dissolving pulp grades is significantly improved with a BTF™ Pneumatic Air Pad Rectifier Roll Headbox with Dilution Profiling. The large slice openings associated with slow speed machines make dilution profiling especially effective. The BTF Dilution Control System, exclusive from GL&V, employs a high-performance state-of-the-art dilution profiling system providing unparalleled CD 2-Sigma Dry Weight Profile Control. Reduced variability in CD weight distribution translates into reduced sheet caliper variation, and very often provides reduced moisture variability. These changes can result in significant energy savings through more efficient pressing and better face contact through the dryer sections, and can positively affect coating operations.
