Caird & Rayner Clark Reverse Osmosis MK II System

Caird & Rayner Clark Reverse Osmosis MK II System

A series of desalination plants specifically designed and constructed to provide a range of format and output to meet every requirement. The system employs Reverse Osmosis where feed water under pressure is forced through a membrane which rejects up to 99.5 % of contaminants. All variations are designed to facilitate ease of installation and with the option of either hollow fibre or thin film spiral wound membranes, it enables units to be tailored to meet customers'''''''' needs. Application While Reverse Osmosis plants, in general, have many applications, the R.O. MK II system is designed specifically for the removal of dissolved solids (usually salts) from water. The feed water may contain large quantities of salt as in seawater or relatively low amounts as in domestic tap water. The extent of treatment, size of plant etc will therefore depend upon the state of the feed water and the use to which the product water is to be put. In general, seawater can be converted to potable or domestic water in a single pass system or to low pressure boiler feed water in a two pass system. Commercially available domestic water can usually be converted to high quality boiler or process water in a single pass system. Simple to Operate The R.O. MK II has comprehensive monitoring facilities that afford the operator precise control of all essential functions. Through simple push button operation the plant has the capacity to sustain output over long periods with the minimum of maintenance or supervision. All necessary chemical injection units after manual fill and start will automatically compensate for different flows and will shut down completely if flow stops. The built in chemical cleaning system is ready for operation after change over of two valves. Backwashing of sand filters or change of filter elements can be carried out in minutes by unskilled personnel. If a fault condition does occur such as a low or high feed pressure, the plant will automatically shut down and switch on an alarm circuit.
