The Brackett Green screw compactor is designed to remove excess liquid from screenings and to discharge them to a suitable container. It may be placed directly at the discharge point of an automatic screen and can deliver the dewatered screenings to a skip, conveyor or bagging unit as desired. Simple construction The machine consists of a heavy duty horizontal tube in which is fitted a helical screw. Material is transported and compressed by the screw. As the screenings are compressed, liquid is allowed to drain out through holes in the bottom of the tube to a suitable discharge pipe. The screw shaft is carried in a single bearing fitted at the drive end.
