The SBW™ filter is an automatic, self-backwashing gravity filter that provides efficient filtration in a simple, compact installation. An internal clearwell compartment provides sufficient storage and head for effective media cleaning, and eliminates external pumps, piping, valves and tankage.

The rectangular steel tank filter is fully enclosed and is available in two and three cell designs with filtration areas of up to 624 and 576 square feet respectively.

These multi-cell filters utilize an external, elevated splitter box to equalize flow distribution and interlocked controls to coordinate backwash cycles, allowing continuous filtration. Air scour is standard and can be used in a wide range of cleaning procedures, including simultaneous air/water applications. Backwash cycles can be initiated by headloss, elapsed time or manual selection, and PLC control packages allow fully automatic operation. Multiple filters can be ganged for very large flows. All units are completely shop fabricated to eliminate field welding and painting.
