Copa® GSS fine screen for the screening of final efluent

These products while extremely efficient and costs effective would normally require regular inspection and manual sac replacement when they become overloaded with contaminates.

For remote plants this routine inspection and sac replacement can be a hassle, which is easily overcome by the installation of a Copa® GSS screen, which is a fine screen system based on continuous deflection separation non blocking screening technology and contains a sump for offline collection and storage of retained contaminants.

The photo above is a fibreglass Copa® GSS installed adjacent to a reed bed system to overcome the problem of fibrous material transfering to the reeds resulting blockage of the soria bed foundation and ultimately rotting of the reeds.

The sump is fitted with a valve that can be manually or automatically operated at intervals of 6 to 26 weeks, depending on the upstream process and load of contaminates. The sludge can be fed back to the sludge drying beds or other parts of the process or can be sent to a separate holding bay for evapo transpiration.
