EWT™ Mast Type Rotary Distributors are self-propelled mechanisms, requiring a minimum of energy to operate. Screened or clarified waste flow is introduced at the center of the mechanism and uniformly distributed in a thin sheet over the entire surface of the biological filter through spreaders at each orifice. Hydraulic power created by jet-like streams through orifices at the arms is sufficient to rotate the mechanism on the machined bearing surface in the center of the assembly. Every EWT™ Rotary Distributor is tailored to individual operating conditions utilizing either two or more distributor arms, and a variety of components and center assemblies. Trickling Filter Applications include:

• Standard Rate - For domestic secondary waste treatment
• High-Rate - for recirculation of secondary effluent and two-stage filters for high effluent quality
• Roughing - to reduce organic loadings for subsequent biological processing
