The Celleco Cleanvac Deaeration System ahead of the paper machine is designed to remove any entrained air in the stock. This system consists of the deaeration vessel, pre-condenser, vacuum pumps, and instrumentation.
 
The paper stock is fed through two parallel stock distribution headers. The stock is then sprayed in an upward direction and hits the tank roof and is exposed to the vacuum in the tank
 
When the stock stream hits the top of the tank, the air is efficiently separated from the fibers by the impact.  The deaerated stock is collected in the lower section of the deaeration tank, where a level is maintained.
