The Celleco™ Centerdisc® CDI’s unique feature is its large diameter rotor design, which encapsulates an internal collection repulper trough with screw conveyor for the thickened pulp. The sheet discharge method eliminates the need for chutes between the discs. As a result, the CDI filter can be used in applications where conventional disc filters are unsuitable, for example the dewatering of high freeness or higher consistency pulps, or as combination saveall broke thickeners. The CDI is the filter of choice for OCC and kraft pulp thickeners, and as a combination saveall broke thickener.
