The all-purpose UF-1 model has staggered, parabolic Kynar lips that ensure an even application of filtrate and tapered orifices made of self-lubricating material that lowers surface tension, thereby reducing plugging and scaling. The orifices are interchangeable to adjust flow rates for changes in production rates.

The patented parabolic lip design distributes filtrates evenly to each fiber, so less filtrate is required for efficient chemical removal. Because less air is entrained in the pulp mat, less defoamer is needed.
