The GL&V Vat-Seal
™ Assembly has been designed to take the place of packing between the
trunnion or shaft packing panel. The Vat-Seal assembly will retrofit to
any shaft or trunnion diameter and will utilize your existing packing
panel. Replacement of the seal elements can be done in 25% of the time
of conventional packing, at about the same cost. The Vat-Seal elements
are reported to last 2 to 3 times longer than conventional packing in
bleach washing, brown stock washing and decker applications.
