The GL&V TRI-O® Mixer is a unique, compact design (patent pending) incorporating the Doubleshear™ Rotor. Low energy requirements combined with ultra-high mixing effectiveness results in marked improvements in process performance.
The GL&V TRI-O® Mixer is an efficient and compact design, primarily intended for medium and low consistency mixing applications. The primary goal of the TRI-O Mixer is to provide a cost effective mixer in terms of capital, operating and maintenance costs, while maintaining or improving the efficiency of the bleaching process. This mixer has achieved the highest measured mixing effectiveness to date with very low energy consumption.
The TRI-O Mixer is designed for the best possible mixing of chemicals with pulp. The chemical inlet location and configuration has been optimized for both liquid and gas mixing. The Doubleshear™ Rotor design incorporates slots and angles to achieve high intensity turbulence in the horizontal, vertical and axial directions. The casing design has stationary vanes which interact with the rotor to prevent pulp and chemicals from bypassing the mixing zone.
