HI-Q® Fibresaver™

HI-Q® Fibresaver™

The HI-Q® Fibresaver™ fiber filter provides efficient and economical recovery of good fiber from a filtrate stream. The HI-Q® Fibresaver capitalizes on advances in electron beam drilled perforated screenplates and in new rotor technologies. The HI-Q®  Fibresaver is derived from the HI-Q® Fine Screen with all bearing assembly parts being interchangeable with corresponding models.

  • Key Benefits
    • high filtration efficiency
    • stable of operation
    • minimal maintenance
    • low specific power consumption.
    • continuous, remote, unattended operation.
  • Applications
    • Removal and recovery of good fiber from filtrate going to the chemical recovery system (weak black liquor).
    •  Recovery of good fiber from bleach plant washer filtrates.
  • Operation
The Fibresaver(tm) Fiber Filter is designed for continuous, remote, unattended operation.
    • Liquor passes through the screenplate perforations (which can be as small as 0.1 mm [0.004 in.]) into the accepts compartment and is discharged through the accept connection. The remaining liquor, rich in recovered fiber, continues to flow downward and is discharged through the reject connection.
    • The J Rotor evolution minimizes power consumption.
  • Maintenance
    • The screen rotor is mounted on a sturdy vertical shaft supported by self purging, grease lubricated, heavy duty bearings.
    • To minimize spare parts inventory, the entire bearing housing (column assembly) is interchangeable with our corresponding HI-Q Fine Screen models.
    • Shaft sealing is done with a double tandem mechanical seal with no fresh water entering the system.
