Yellow™ is a hot acid treatment process aimed for reducing total active chlorine demand for bleaching and decreasing the yellowing tendency of hardwood kraft pulp. In a chlorine dioxide based bleaching sequence DualD™ is a technically superior choice, while Yellow™ should normally be considered in TCF (Totally Chlorine Free) bleaching sequences.
Benefits compared to a conventional D0 stage:
