- Dryer Nondestructive Evaluation:
- Visual Inspection (VT): Internal & External with photos submitted in report
- Ultrasonic (UT) thickness scans: minimum of 2 continuous scans, ≈ 180°
- Magnetic Particle Test of external heads (internal if required)
- Ultrasonic (UT) Inspection of Head bolts: 20% or a minimum of 10 per head
- Dryer Re-rating:
- Preliminary inspection (determines if dryers are capable of a higher pressure)
- On site Non Destructive Evaluation (NDE)
- Calculate NDE results with ASME Section VIII Division 1
- If capable of being re-rated complete (Form R-2) and review with authorizeInspector
